There are many security threats that could leave your computer, your electronic accounts, and your personal information vulnerable to compromise. NSIT wants to make sure that you are aware of the various tips and safe computing practices that the University has developed and outlined in order to protect yourself against these threats.
NSIT has created a tip sheet containing information on steps you can take to maximize your security when you're computing or surfing the Web either on your personal computer or in a public place. The tip sheet discusses security and operating system updates and patches, antivirus software, tips for selecting strong passwords, information about using wireless networks and more.
