NSIT changes the traffic light in response to outages that affect large portions of the campus.

University Voicemail Upgrade on November 21

Beginning at 5:00 p.m. on November 21, NSIT will migrate to an upgraded voicemail system. NSIT has already copied all voicemail mailboxes into the upgraded system. Over the weekend of November 22 and early into the following week, NSIT will copy your stored voicemail messages to the upgraded system. Any new voicemail message that arrives after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 21 will be routed to your mailbox on the upgraded system with no interruption in service.

The upgraded voicemail system will provide larger message quotas, longer greetings, and other updates that will make using voicemail easier and more convenient. As a result of this change, NSIT can now consider introducing new features such as increased integration between voicemail and email.

You can read instructions for using the new voicemail system at http://nsit.uchicago.edu/voicemail. To access your old mailbox during the upgrade, call 2-3800 (773-702-3800), enter [*] and your mailbox number [*], then enter your password.
