Don't Rush to Upgrade Internet Explorer
Microsoft is in the process of releasing a new version of Internet Explorer, called Internet Explorer 8 (IE8). If you have a previous version of Internet Explorer installed on your computer, you may be prompted to upgrade to IE 8. At this time, NSIT recommends that you NOT upgrade to IE8 until we are sure that our web-based systems work correctly with IE8.
Most of our vendor-created web-based systems are still undergoing testing by the vendors, and we are not yet confident that they'll work with IE8. Examples of systems that are currently undergoing IE8 compatibility testing are cMore, Chalk, Employee Self Service, Webmail (cMail), and WebShare.
While we are in the process of testing these web-based systems, we've created a page showing the testing status of the systems. To see which systems we've completed testing and which systems have passed our testing, please visit our Internet Explorer 8 Testing Status page.
