Thunderbird Quickstart
Thunderbird is a full-featured email client
Thunderbird allows you to easily manage your NSIT email account. Thunderbird can check and modify your email from multiple locations without losing important messages.
Thunderbird has many integrated features
Thunderbird allows you to customize your working environment, create powerful filters, and easily look up email addresses in the University's directory servers. Additionally, Thunderbird provides better security than most email clients and is fully compatible with NSIT's email servers.
Getting started
To launch Thunderbird in Windows, go to Start → Programs → NSIT Connectivity Package → Thunderbird.
To launch Thunderbird on a Mac, go to Start → Programs → NSIT Connectivity Package → Thunderbird.
Thunderbird in three quick steps
- To check your mail, click on "Get Mail"
- To write an email, click on "Write"
- To read a message, highlight it in the message pane
