NSIT Client Relations

Mission

The goal of the Client Relations office is to establish channels that will allow improved communication between NSIT and those who utilize NSIT services. Client Relations falls at the intersection of technology and its users, and seeks to enhance the value of evolving technology to each member of the University community, while minimizing the frustrations that can accompany technological change. Client Relations activities fall into four broad areas:

  1. Clarifying NSIT services and reducing confusion about how to obtain service, both at the time of arrival on campus and on an ongoing basis.
  2. Helping NSIT understand the needs and goals of the community and how NSIT should respond to those needs within available resources, recognizing that the all technology must ultimately serve the purpose of furthering the mission of research and teaching.
  3. Facilitating communications surrounding change, including new service offerings, changes in existing services, and problems that require either upgrades or new actions from the community.
  4. Creating greater visibility and understanding of NSIT's products, services and successes.

To do this, Client Relations will listen to people across campus, work to find better ways for NSIT to deliver its services, help people navigate the NSIT maze, and publicize new and improved services so that the client community gains a better understanding of the organization.
