Software Site Licensing
Site Licensing manages and tracks the large-scale site licenses throughout the University and the Hospitals. In essence, our goal is to save the University money on software which is used throughout the University community, either by managing a single large license ourselves and sub-licensing the software to departments, or by tracking who in the University has already licensed that software and finding out if other departments can ride along with them.
The long awaited Windows 7 will be released on Thursday, October 22, 2009. You will be able to order "retail" copies of Windows 7 from the Solution Center on that date. We anticipate that Departmental Site Licensing will become available in the 3rd week of November and Student licensing for
Windows 7 a month or 2 after that.
