Recycling Programs for Computers
If you have a computer, functional or broken, that you no longer have a use for, you can donate it to the Computer Recycling Program. We will accept computers, laptops, monitors, keyboards, modems, printers, and scanners.
Working computers will be refurbished and donated to local charities and schools. Non-working computers will be processed in an environmentally sound manner, not dumped in a landfill.
There is no charge to University of Chicago departments for recycling.
Computers can be dropped off at the NSIT Solution Center Warehouse located at 6019 S Kimbark, Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm. If you would like your computer to be picked up at your location, call (773)702-7913 or email us at computer-recycling@listhost.uchicago.edu to schedule an appointment. Distribution has dedicated the last week of each month to campus recycle pickups. Please remember that if your pick up is in the hospital, you will have to provide us with a property pass for removal.
