Instructions for Host or Moderator:
1. Complete all the information on "New 24x7 Subscription Screen."
2. Web Services: Allows you to choose the type of web service you wish to have with your audio conference. Default is WebDialog (ConferenceNOW®).
- If a web service is selected it will be made available as an option at any time during the use of your 24X7. You will only be charged upon using the selected web service.
3. Select Conference Preferences:
- Name Record - this will prompt you to record your name when entering the conference. Default is Yes.
- Entry & Exit options - You can chose from these three options:
- Have tones played when participants enter or exit a conference;
- Have the recorded name announced (requires Name Record to be selected);
- No tones or name played. Default is Tones.
- Conference Continuation - this will allow the conference to continue even if the host/moderator leaves the conference. Default is Yes.
- Conference Quick Start - this allows the conference to start without the host/moderator. Default is No.
4. Click "Submit."
- You will immediately receive an online notice that an email confirmation will be sent to you within 24 hours.
- An email confirmation with specific details of your conference will be sent to the email address in your host profile. It will include an invitation that the host/moderator must complete and send to all participants:
- Include in the invitation any/all future conference call dates and times.
- The same passcode and moderator code will be used for all standing conferences.
- If an ad hoc meeting needs to be held, the host/moderator should modify the invitation with the appropriate date and time and send the invitation to the participants.
5. Day of Conference:
- To launch a web conference or to use your Online Meeting Management Tool, do one of the following:

- Select the URL provided in the host email confirmation, and click "Start." Enter your valid 5- or 6-digit UofC long-distance authcode when asked for the Host Billing code;
- OR, go to www.yourconferencecenter.com/uchicago/moderator.aspx at least 5-10 minutes prior to conference start, select the "Join as a Host" link, and log in using your pre-assigned dial-in number, passcode, and moderator code. You can then start your Online Meeting Management Tool or launch your web conference by selecting "Start." Enter your valid 5- or 6-digit UofC long-distance authcode when asked for the Host Billing code.
- You can also access your conferencing -tools from My Account Dashboard:

- Select "Go to My Account" and log in with your ID and password.
- Click on "Moderate" in the 24X7 Subscription Manager section of Your Dashboard.
- The Online Meeting Management Tool will provide a list of all participants as they join the conference. As participants join the conference, select "Playback Name" to name each participant line for future reference;
- If you wish to use a web conference along with the audio, click the "Launch a Web Conference" button.
- At the end of Conference:
- If using a ConferenceNOW® web conference, close the web conference screen by clicking on the "Logoff" button in the toolbar menu.
- If using a LiveMeeting web conference, select "File," "Exit" and "End Session" from the toolbar menu.
- If using a WebEx web conference, select "End Meeting."
- Also close the Online Meeting Management tool by clicking "Log Out."
Instructions for Participants:
- If using an Audio Conference only (24x7 ConferenceNOW®): Use the dial-in number and passcode provided in the host's invitation.
- If using an Audio and Web Conference (24x7 ConferenceNOW®), please do one of the following:
- Select the URL provided in the host's invitation. Enter only your name and email address and you will be placed directly into the web conference;
- OR go to www.yourconferencecenter.com/uchicago/participant.aspx, complete all required information using the dial in number and passcode that has been sent to you from your host/moderator and click "Sign In."
To cancel a 24x7 Subscription (ConferenceNOW®)
- By Phone: Call UofC Conf at 877-863-2266.
- By Internet:
- Go to www.yourconferencecenter.com/uchicago and enter your login ID and password;
- In My Account Dashboard, click on "Cancel" in the 24X7 Subscription Manager window;
- An online confirmation will be sent to you.
- By Phone: Call UofC Conf at 877-863-2266.
- By Internet:
- Go to www.yourconferencecenter.com/uchicago and enter your login ID and password;
- In My Account Dashboard, click on Edit, update necessary information (i.e., time, date, participant, type of call), and click on "Submit;"
- You will receive an online notice that an email confirmation will be sent to you.
