Cellular Phones

Service Changes

To replace your phone

Phones purchased through the University have a 24-month contract. You can upgrade to a new cellular phone earlier if you agree to pay the out-of-contract cost. Simply submit the Order Form with your new choice of phone. You have the option of donating your old phone to the charity, recycling it at the NSIT Solution Center or keeping it. If you have any questions or need additional information about this option, please call 2-9100 option 3.

To change your rate plan

Business Phones: Submit the Order Form indicating your old and new rate plans.

Personal Phones: You must order a personal phone through the AT&T Premier Student or Employee website to receive your University discount.

To order additional services

To add additional services to your phone such as call restrictions, time of day restrictions, 5-digit dialing, Push to Talk Service, or insurance, please use the Modify Cellular Service Form.

To cancel service

Note: If service is disconnected prior to the expiration of your contract, regardless of the rate plan, there will be a termination fee of $150 applied to that mobile number.

Business Phones: You must contact the AT&T Representative if you wish to cancel your cellular service. Your written request can be submitted by email to 29100@uchicago.edu or faxed to 773-702-9410.

Personal Phones: All individual accounts are handled through the AT&T Premier Student or Employee website.
