ChicagoID

Much of the business of University administration involves managing information about people. Large central systems like Payroll, Gargoyle, and Griffin, their Divisional counterparts, and myriads of departmental shadow systems, exist to enable management of a variety of programs and administrative functions at all levels. In order to streamline the identification systems across all departments, the University has assigned all University community members a new, universal identifier called the ChicagoID. Each ChicagoID consists of eight numerical digits followed by one letter (e.g. 12345678A).
