NSIT provides two options for electronic mail, cMail and xMail, plus full-featured options for calendaring, and integration with small devices such as Blackberries, Treos, and Windows Mobile devices.
cMail is the University's primary email service, offered free of charge to all current faculty, staff and students in the format of CNetID@uchicago.edu. Anyone with a CNetID and password can set up a cMail account. You can access Webmail at https://webmail.uchicago.edu. Visit the cMail page to learn about cMail's features, configuration and setting options and more.
xMail is a fee-based service that integrates integrated corporate-style messaging and calendaring based on Microsoft Exchange. Faculty and staff should check with their departments to determine eligibility for xMail services. Visit the xMail page to learn about its features, rates, configuration and setting guide and more.
