Hummingbird HostExplorer tn3270
This is the campus distribution site for Hummingbird's HostExplorer terminal emulation software. Its primary use to most people on campus will be as a tn3270 client for Windows XP.PLEASE NOTE: NSIT has licensed this software for use by University of Chicago staff and faculty. Staff and faculty of affiliated organizations are NOT included in this license. Further, staff or faculty who leave the University are no longer eligible to use this software, and must remove it from any machine under their purview which it is installed on.
tn3270 for Macintosh
NSIT does not support tn3270 for Mac OS. However, a secure tn3270 client can be downloaded from Brown University. You will need to turn on SSL and configure it to connect to port 992.
Upgrade Note
If you have an older version of HostExplorer on your machine, remove it before installing this version. Check the install docs for further information.

This download requires a valid CNetID and CNet password. Only current staff and faculty of the University are eligible to download and use this software. If you have any problems downloading the software, contact the Site Licensing Office.
