This page describes how to use some of the most common voicemail features.
Change my password
To change your password, press [4] from the main menu, then [2] to change password. From there, press [1] and follow the prompts to change your password. Press [*] to return to the previous menu.
Reply to a message
Replying to a message sends your reply directly to the mailbox which sent you the message; it does not ring the phone line. While paused, or after message playback, press [4] to reply. After the beep, began to record your message. While recording your reply, press:
• [1] To pause recording
• [*] To cancel recording
When you are finished recording, press [#]. After recording your reply, press:
• [1] To review your answer
• [2] To append your message
• [#] To save and send your answer; you will hear "Answer sent"
• [*] To discard and re-record your answer
Forward a message
Forwarding a message sends a voicemail message you received to another mailbox along with your comments; it does not ring the phone line. Private messages cannot be forwarded.
While paused or after message playback, press [6] to forward the message to another mailbox. Then enter a mailbox number or a 2-digit distribution list (press [*] to cancel an incorrect destination). To record comments, press [#], then begin to record your message after the beep. Press [#] to end your recording, then press:
• [1] To review your comments
• [2] To append to your comments
• [6] For message addressing options
• [#] To save and send message; you will hear "Your comments and a copy of this message sent"
• [*] To discard and re-record comments
Record a new message
Recording a message allows you to send a message to another mailbox without ringing a person's phone. This can be used to send a memo to multiple parties at once or simply to send a message without bothering your recipient.
Make and Send a New Message
To make a message to send to another voicemail user, press [2] from the main menu. Enter a mailbox number or enter a 2-digit distribution list (press [*] to cancel an incorrect destination). Begin to record your message after the beep. Press [#] to end your recording, then press:
• [1] To review your message
• [2] To append to your message
• [3] To discard and re-record your message
• [#] To save and send message; you will hear "Message sent"
Message Delivery Options
After recording a new message, you can change how your message will be sent. Press:
• [1] To mark a message urgent (urgent message are played first)
• [2] To mark message private (recipients can answer your message, but cannot forward it to another mailbox)
• [3] To request a return receipt (acknowledgment that message has been played)
• [4] To send a future delivery message (follow the prompts to set the date and time)
• [5] To reset delivery options
• [6] To add more addresses
• [#] To send a message
