Web Express
Web Express is a webpage update tool provided by NSIT Web Services. Web Express allows people with minimal knowledge of web design and construction to maintain their web pages fairly independently. This tool allows content editors at all levels of expertise to maintain website content via an online interface that is similar to word processing software.
Web Express utilizes software from Omni Update, a company that specializes in content management tools for higher education.

Web Express Service Overview
Broadly, Web Express contracts include conversion of modern XHTML websites for use with Web Express, user licenses, training, support, and security & workflow administration for the product. No software installation is required as this service is web-based.
- Website Conversion
The conversion of sites into Web Express includes:- The insertion of special tags into a website's code in order to utilize Web Express.
- The creation of templates and variants to allow content editors to easily create additional pages in the future.
Before a site can undergo conversion, it must be coded in XHTML using modern, semantic markup. Most sites created by Web Services since 2005 will meet this requirement. However, older sites and sites not created by Web Services may need to be recoded or cleaned up. This work is not included in Web Express contracts and payment must be arranged separately. - User Licenses
Web Express licenses for all identified content editors are included in the contract. - Training
Web Services will provide one training session for each content editor. Training will be held in group sessions. Training for new staff in case of turnover is also provided. - Support
Web Services will respond to questions and resolve complexities on your behalf during business hours. - Security & Workflow Administration
Web Services will ensure that pre-defined security and workflow options meet your needs and will administer them on your behalf. We will work together to identify which individuals should have access to add, edit, and delete content, and/or approve changes.
